Dissolution of Marriage Guidelines
This document provides information and answers questions about the division of retirement benefits upon divorce or legal separation of an active member. This information is for members who are not retired or have not yet received benefit payments from SCERS.

Use this form to change your address, beneficiary, or marital status.
Note: Active Members should update their address with their employer who will report the new information to SCERS.

PEPRA and Final Compensation Review at SCERS
This policy reviews the authorities and standards that Staff relies on to assess the final average salary of a retiring member and exclude any elements of compensation that are paid to enhance a member’s retirement, as required by the California Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013 (PEPRA).
Purchasing Public Service Packet
This packet includes eligibility information, guidelines, and required forms to purchase up to four years of public service credit.

Use this form to request reprints of documents previously provided by SCERS or to request necessary informational letters. Request for Purchase Agreement
Conversion of Past Miscellaneous Tier 2 Service – Members who elected to convert membership in SCERS to Miscellaneous Tier 3 on a prospective basis may upgrade past Miscellaneous Tier 2 service.
