Member Interest Crediting Rates

SCERS credits interest semi-annually, on June 30 and December 31, to member account balances that have been on deposit for the entire six months immediately prior to the interest crediting date.

The semi-annual interest crediting rate for members is the lesser of 1) the United States 5-Year Treasury Note Rate on the last publishing date of the interest crediting period; or 2) the interest crediting rate applied to the Employer and Retiree Reserves.  Please refer to SCERS’ Interest Crediting and Unallocated Earnings Policy for more information regarding the calculation and application of interest.
